What I do is help people to reach their financial goals and to be independent and transform their lives. And I do this through the books I write, through trainings, personal coaching, masterclasses and public speaking.
I've traveled and worked in over 57 countries on six continents, and I speak four languages. To date I've been involved in over 1,000 real-estate transactions totaling over 100 million dollars.
I've devoted several years of my life to create trainings that teach all my best strategies and techniques for wealth creation and real estate investing.
I'am passionate about a multitude of things: writing, entrepreneurship, psychology, creativity, spirituality, fitness and philanthropy, just to name a few.
I'am also passionate about helping children in need live happier, healthier lives and make a giant difference in their lives. I participe in a charitable project United For Cambodian Children's who helps educating children from impoverished communities in Cambodia.
What I do is help people to achieve their finance goals faster and easier than they ever imagined.
Prior to founding my company, Elena Maurel International, I have had successful careers in business, investments, real estate development and syndication, and consulting.
In 2004, a series of fortunate events led to me starting my first business, an athletic merchandising company called MMA All Stars, where I sponsored and partnered with world class MMA athletes such as Fedor Emelianenko, Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro" Nogueira, Wanderlei Silva, Mirko “Cro Cop" Filipovic, Bertrand Amoussou and Angelo Parisi.
But after a successful run in the apparel and merchandising industry, I hit a strange impasse…
I had attended the most prestigious universities in the world. I had a thriving business. I had just published a book through one of Europe's largest publishing houses and it launched me into the public eye. I was rich and “famous," and yet, I was dissatisfied in every way.
So, I did something unthinkable. I decided to leave it all. I spent the next year immersing myself in diverse cultures– visiting Peru, Brazil, South Siberia, India, Indochine and Mongolia.
During the time I spent traveling I had many insights, but one idea in particular kept entering my mind. I wanted to help people. I felt my unique experience and knowledge could be useful for others, especially in the demanding modern world of business.
But before I could help anyone (let alone coach anyone) I had to solve a very big problem…
“Even the greatest was once a beginner. Don't be afraid to take that first step."
When I returned to France from my journeys abroad, I was without work and without money. I was alone with a small child on the verge of bankruptcy.
Side note…I love reading about successful people. One thing I noticed was that almost everyone who has achieved excellent results in life, at some point they received an impulse, a push, and thanks to which they took the path leading to success.
Obviously, this was the “push" I needed.
I began to focus on solutions. I was intrigued by real estate so I started reading up on real estate investments. I carefully observed people that I admired and tried to understand how they had achieved their goals. I almost always noticed that their way of thinking was very different from the thinking of an average person. Successful people made decisions differently, bought things differently, and overall they simply treated life differently. And many of them had invested in real estate.
So, I brought out the “warrior woman" forged in the jungles of Peru. I took the last of my savings and bought a very small house near Paris for $50.000 which wasn't quite finished being built. If you can imagine this place– it had four walls and a ceiling– that was it! There was electricity and running water (thank God), but everything else needed to be installed. Everything.
I really started with nothing. I was in my thirties with a small child, alone, with no experience in real estate. But I had to do it, because I had no other choice.
I rebuild the first property investing $40.000 and it took me more than a year to make it. Than I sold the property for $220.000 ! Next, I bought a property in Spain, and I used the capital from this investment to buy my next rental property in France, Germany, UK, Thailand… Throughout those years, as I grew my portfolio, I studied many books on investing and property management, and attended hundreds of seminars by very different and very interesting professionals.
It took me 5 years to go from a debt of $40.000 to earning a yearly
passive income of more than $300.000.
I found real estate to be incredibly liberating. With passive income coming in, I was free to start a company and I created the Elena Maurel International, my way to help people with no investment experience or funding achieve total financial freedom and make real estate investment accessible to as many people as possible.
